Traverse

Traverse is a wall sconce built around a long, softly rounded bar of diffused light interrupted at its center by a solid metal disc that anchors the whole form. It can be mounted horizontally, reading as a ruled line above a sofa or bed, or turned vertical to become a column of light on the wall — the same object taking on two entirely different characters. The diffused acrylic tube casts even light along its full length, while the metal disc in black or brass catches the eye before the light does.
